Wii: Hints, Tips and Secrets!


My mega-collection of: Wii Tips, Hints & Secrets!

Arrow 1.When youre in the Mii channel and you havent used the Wiimote for a while you will notice that the Miis start to walk around, at this point, if you suddenly use the Wiimote, all the Miis stop and follow the hand for around 3 seconds.
Arrow 2.When typing messages, if you need to edit the message, while still typing, instead of deleting letters, just move the cursor to where you want to type.
Arrow 3.In Wii Sports Bowling, when you press up on the Directional Pad, it will zoom in on the lane. The zoom in sound is the exact same sound from Super Mario 64 anytime you moved the camera.
Arrow 4.You can play co-op Jigsaw puzzles in Wii photo channel.
Arrow 5.Amazingly enough, you can place the sensor bar upside down and it doesnt reverse the directions of your movements.
Arrow 6.In Wii sports bowling, you can release on the back swing and throw the ball backwards. It scares all the Miis behind you.
Arrow 7.Evil Cat; in the Photo Channel, you can catch the cat that runs across the screen to get tips! It appears in the Fun option and you can grab the cat with the A and B button.
Arrow 8.By holding down the 1 button before selecting any piece amount, you can have a 194 piece puzzle.
Arrow 9.If you want to check out Photo Channel, but dont have an SD card, you can e-mail a jpeg to your Wii Message Board.
Arrow 10.In Wii Sports bowling, you can throw your ball into other peoples lanes.
Arrow 11.If you put MP3s on a SD card with your photos, you can change the background music during a slideshow to one of your MP3s that you select.
Arrow 12.The message board records your play time, if you properly exit to the menu and then shut down it will record the play time as the correct game. If you dont exit to the Wii Menu before you power off the machine, it records the play time as other.
Arrow 13.By just holding the A and B buttons, you can rearrange almost anything on the Wii like the channels and messages
Arrow 14.The 'Plasma Burin' reduction kicks in the second the Wiimote shuts down.
Arrow 15.When you get an e-mail, the disc drive lights up and flashes blue, and your Wiimote makes a little chirping sound.
Arrow 16.Hold down the up or down buttons when viewing photos to blur.
Arrow 17.In Mii channel you can only send 20 Miis a day. By changing the date you can send more.
Arrow 18.When Wii Sports bowling is loading it will give you a warning message (about wearing the wrist strap, etc), on this screen hold A and press left for a red ball, right for a gold ball, up for a blue ball and down for a green ball. There is also another hidden colour.
Arrow 19.At the top of the join between the front and the back of most Wii game boxes, there is a SD card holder.
Arrow 20.In Wii Sports tennis, after picking Miis in the pre-game menus and arriving at the final warning screen, hold down 2 before advancing. Keep it held down until the black fades and you will play on the blue practice court.
Arrow 21.When you connect a Wii remote, the number of LEDs that flash on it corresponds to the amount of battery life that's left in the controller. If you see three lights blinking, there will also be three bars of battery indicator on the Home menu.
Arrow 22.The Mii's trouser colour will change: black = normal, blue = from another Wii, red = favourite, gold = hacked.
Arrow 23.In Wii Sports golf, you can disable the power meter, map, and the wind speed indicator, press and hold ), then make a selection at the "Select a Course" screen.
Arrow 24.In Wii Sports boxing, after you've beaten the Grand Champion, Matt, in a boxing match you'll be able to wear silver boxing gloves. To do so, hold 1 when the screen becomes black before a boxing match.
Arrow 25.Get to pro level to in Wii Sports bowling to unlock a bowling ball with diamond designs on it.
Arrow 26.To scare the crowd in Wii Sports bowling, start the regular motion for bowling and let go on the backswing. The ball will fly backwards and the crowd will scream and jump.
Arrow 27.To make the crowd laugh in Wii Sports bowling, move to either of the gutters in your lane, turn into opposite lane, and bowl so the ball goes over the barrier between the lanes. The ball will go into the gutter in the opposite lane and the crowd will laugh.
Arrow 28.To get an automatic 91 pin strike in the last round of Power Bowling, on training mode in Wii Sports bowling, throw the ball on the right or left rail (depending on if you are right or left handed) so that it stays on it the whole time. If it reaches the end without falling off, you will hear a "click" and an explosion. Then all the pins will fall down from the shockwave.
Arrow 29.During Target Practice, (Wii Sports Tennis), if you don't hit the target, you will hit the brick wall around it. This will make the section of the wall you hit darken slightly. If you darken it enough, the bricks start breaking. Soon, after you break enough bricks, there will be a large hole. But be warned, if your ball goes through the hole, this ends your training session.
Arrow 30.Press 1 on the Wiimote while cutting a picture to change the shape of the cutting space.
Arrow 31.In Photo Channel, hold down on the d-pad and click the eraser and it will undo the last thing you did.
